Every day I am asked, “Are we going to get enough signatures to put these terrible bills on the ballot?” The answer is I do not know, and we probably won’t know until this process plays out in the middle of September. But let me tell you what I do know: we cannot make it without an enthusiastic and committed response in these last 13 days before our deadline.
Sign on 9/9
We are organizing a state-wide signing event for Monday, September 9th (9/9) to give people a chance to sign the Tax-Funded Abortions, Physician-Assisted Suicide, and Mandated Vaccination petitions. Our goal is to establish enough signing locations, so no one must travel more than 30 minutes to sign. The signing locations will be operating from 8 AM-8 PM. We will be posting and promoting these locations on our website and social media platforms as well as promoting them on radio and other media platforms.
We need more dedicated locations and petitioners. A signing location for Sign on 9/9 can be a church, a private business, a public space, or a home. If you can provide a location, please click here to fill out the form with the necessary information to confirm. If you can be a signature gather, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, phone number, town, and hours available to petition on 9/9.
This is our last chance to get signatures. Please respond today. We will not be going public with this effort until we have a sufficient number of locations and petitioners.
What is the Deadline?
All notarized petitions must be turned into the appropriate town office by Wednesday, September 11th!! Please do whatever you can to personally deliver your petitions to each town office. If you cannot personally deliver your petitions, contact your field rep TODAY and let him know you need assistance. Click here to see your county field rep contact info.
I cannot overemphasize how critical it is for us to have the volunteers necessary to finish this job.
- drivers to deliver petitions to town office between now and September 11th
- drivers to pick up petitions from town offices to be delivered to our office in Augusta
- people who can travel to Augusta to do data entry for the thousands of verified petitions.
Can You Give?
A campaign of this magnitude requires financial resources. We have raised about $80,000 of our goal of $120,000. Please make sure we have the resources to finish strong. Join the hundreds of Mainers who have invested in this campaign. No gift is too small; we’ve had donations from $3 to $10,000. I can’t tell you how much to give, but I can tell you the need and ask you to prayerfully consider your participation. Click here to donate and make a difference.
Will You Pray?
Many of our supporters have told me they are praying and fasting for this effort to be a witness for life and defend our God-given parental rights. Will you join me in praying and fasting on Monday, September 9th? All our efforts will be in vain if we do not ask our heavenly Father for His blessing and help.
